I love the egg that he holds in the twists of his tail. Would you tell me, how you fabricated the hinge?

My English is written by some random translating-engine and it wants to apollogize if it's wrong!
go get a cup of coffee before reading my long winded explanation.....
First i made the body of the gecko which included the tail. then i cut the tail off. Drill a whole close to where i cut it off. this is where the rod will slide in for the movement.. securing the tail in the bench vise, the point of the tail pointing to the floor, ...wow, wish i could just draw you a picture... ..i cut two notches about 1/2", give or take, down the tail, then laying the tail horizontally to the floor, cut it again where the notches are. you end up with three separate pieces each having a hole... cut a rod that will fit in the whole you drilled...use the rod to hold your pieces together while you weld back on the two outside pieces to your gecko and weld the middle piece onto the tail. the rod keeps everything aligned. clean up your welds, blend them in so you cant see them. then making sure your rod isn't longer than the thickness of the tail, put the rod in the wholes, plug weld the ends to permanently seal the rod into the hinge...clean up welds... sorry, not very good at writing instructions...i'm sure there are lots of ways of doing this, but this is how i did it.
